Addressing a booth-level workers’ meeting of the TPCC where he sounded the poll bugle for the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul said Modi has a large heart for the rich like Anil Ambani but has no money to waive off farmers’ loans. KCR was the first to extend his support to Modi in anti-people’s decisions like demonetisation and GST which have affected the small and medium businessmen and has brought them on to the streets, he added. “KCR, so far, had never questioned Modi on Rafale deal. TRS leaders always extended support to Modi in Parliament on every decision taken by the BJP-led NDA government which were against the wishes of the poor,” the Congress chief alleged. Announcing that the ‘Minimum Income Guarantee’ scheme will be enforced soon after the Congress comes to power in the country, Rahul said all deserved will be included as beneficiaries in the scheme irrespective of parties, language, religion or caste. “We will bring all the money taken away by the bank fraudsters and distribute them to the poor,” he said. Addressing a public meeting in Greater Noida, Modi said the corrupt are opposing and abusing him in order to get votes. “India today works on 'nayi reeti, nayi neeti' (new methods, new policies), asserting that after the terror attack in J&K's Uri in 2016, the country for the ‘first time taught terrorists a lesson in a language they understand’ with surgical strikes,” he said. "Is it okay for you (the people) to have a government that does nothing? A chowkidar (referring to prime minister) who sleeps?," he asked the gathering of thousands. "After Uri, proofs were sought. Our soldiers did something that has never happened before. Our soldiers struck terrorists inside their home. Terrorists and their guardians had not expected such action. It is for the UK to consider our request and respond,” Kumar told reporters. “If you think we aren’t pursuing this, then you are wrong. Just like we followed Vijay Mallya’s case, we are following this with the same intensity. Whatever steps that need to be taken by the government of India will be taken,” adding the UK was considering India’s request to extradite Modi.
