The Minister on Wednesday participated in several developmental works in Sangareddy district and inaugurated two sub stations built at the cost of Rs 8 crore and laid foundation stone for a substation in Sangareddy district including the opening of 33/11 KV substation with the cost of Rs 2 crore at Kollur village in Ramachadrapuram mandal in the district. Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the state had been transformed into a power surplus state from power deficit state by the TRS government which had expended nearly Rs10,000 crore of budget for electricity only while taking up welfare and developmental schemes simultaneously in the state. He said four new sub stations will be built at RC Puram, Tellapur, Lakdaram and Nagulapally villages in the districts. Medak MP Prabhkar Reddy urged the Minister to merge few villages, which were merged after reorganisation of districts, from Patancheru Revenue division into Sangareddy division again for the administration convenience.
