The proposal was cleared by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. Minister Harish Rao also thanked the Union government for sanctioning KV for Siddipet to provide free and quality education for students. He also hailed MP Prabhakar Reddy who was instrumental in achieving the KV for the district. The 13 new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be set up in 7 states including at Washim and Parbhani in Maharashtra, Chakpikarong in Manipur, Nawada in Bihar, Mirjapur, Surajpur, Banda, Baoli and Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh, Palamau in Jharkhand, Siddipet in Telangana and Kudamalakunte in Karnataka. The Navodaya Vidyalaya will be established in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. The CCEA turned down the proposals by Telangana government for setting up of Navodaya Vidyalayas for each district in the state. Validity of Rythu Bandhu cheques extended for 3 more months Gajwel: The validity of Rythu Bandhu cheques distributed to the farmers by the government under Rythu Bandhu Scheme as crop investment support for this Kharif season, has been extended for three more months. Gajwel Mandal Agriculture Officer M Praveen Kumar said in a statement that the government took the steps to utilise the ﬁnancial assistance from the government as some of the farmers did not withdraw the cheques within the validity. The validity of the cheques issued on April 19 was extended up to October 19 and the cheques issued on May 1 were extended up to November 1 of this year, said the official. The AEOs, VROs and Coordinators of Rythu Samanvaya Samithis, public representatives and the farmers who have not withdrawn the cheques in the mandal were informed about the same.
