TUESDAY 31 JULY 2018 HYDERABAD | PAGES 16 1lakh saplings to be plantated at Sangareddy next week Collector asks officials to work with coordination to make the people from all sectors including students participate in the event and make it a success OUR BUREAU Sangareddy: Like at the headquarters of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s constituency, a massive drive of simultaneous plantation of 1,00,116 saplings will be conducted in the limits of Sangareddy Municipality in the next week, said district Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu. He held a review meeting with district level officials at the collectorate complex here on Monday. The Collector ordered the officials to prepare the plans for the plantation drive which is going conduct in the 31 divisions of the municipality including the merged villages with 50,000 plants and the TRS gaining upper hand in Tandur Assembly constituency 03 other half of the plants will be at each and every household in the ULB. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will participate in the plantation programme of 1 lakh saplings at Gajwel on August 1 in Siddipet district. The Collector said 10 lakh saplings had already been planted in the district as part of fourth phase of ‘Telanganaku Haritha Haram’ project so far. The officials told to make arrangements for the massive green challenge such as sufficient saplings, stakes, fertilisers, tree guards, water tankers, man force, and identifying the land with levelling. The officials in the district should work with coordination to make the people from all sectors including students participate in the event without any hiccups. As of now, 28 places including schools, prayer places, institutions, offices, compound walls and hostels were identiﬁed for the plantation in the town and the rest will be ﬁnished by the end of this week to make it a successful event, said the Collector who planted a sapling at at BSNL office at Bypass road as a start of the green challenge at the district headquarters.
