Later addressing a gathering, he said the State government has been waiting for the environment clearance to construct an Expressway across the River Musi to ease traf- fic problems in the city. “We are hopeful of getting the clearance by August. Efforts are on to inaugurate the LB Nagar-Ameerpet Metro Rail in June”, he added. The minister said that the government is committed to the development of city on all fronts. As part of Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), construction of under passes, flyovers and other infrastructure facilities were taken up. The 540-metre long underpass at Chintalkunta was built at a cost of Rs.18.70 crore. This is the third facility under SRDP after Ayyappa society and Mindspace junction underpass in the city.
