The surface-to-surface missile, a naval variant of the indigenously-developed 'Prithvi' missile, was testfired from the ship positioned near Paradip in the Bay of Bengal at around 10.52 am, the officials said.'Dhanush' missile is capable of carrying a payload of 500 kg and hitting both land and sea-based targets, the sources said. The performance of the SDP comes as a shot in the arm for Andhra Pradesh as it helped the state to stay atop in the ease of doing business rankings for a long time. Arriving at an official reception in New Delhi on Friday, Trudeau was at last met by his Indian counterpart Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who clasped the Canadian leader in his arms. Following bilateral talks, the two leaders appeared side-by-side at a press conference on Friday afternoon. Krishnapatnam is a privately built all-weather, deep-water port in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The notiﬁcation said international travellers henceforth can use the port for entry into and exit from India with valid travel documents for all classes of passengers. New Delhi: The Delhi police on Friday ‘swooped’ on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence and seized hard disks containing recordings of 21 CCTV cameras in connection with the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by AAP MLAs on Monday night. A Delhi police team, including cybercrime and forensics experts, had reached the CM’s residence on Friday morning to collect evidence related to the alleged incident. The Election Commission of India, in a press release, announced the schedule for the elections for the Upper House on Friday. A notiﬁcation for elections would be issued on March 5 and nominations will close on March 12. Scrutiny will take place the next day and the last date for withdrawals will be March 15. Won't make much difference: Nasscom A signiﬁcant number of American banking, travel and commercial services depend on onsite IT workers from India to get their job done. The new move empowers the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to issue H1B visas to an employee only for the period for which he/she has work at a third-party worksite. "The new measure will be an unnecessary and expensive burden that will not make much difference to our member ﬁrms, which are in the business of providing solutions to client companies," Nasscom said.
