Actresses Anjali for Geetanjali movie, Anushka for Size Zero and Ritu Varma for Pelli Choopulu movie got the Best Leading Actress Nandi Awards for 2014, 2015 and 2016, respectively. Directors Boyapati Srinu for Legend in 2014, SS Rajamouli for Baahubali in 2015 and Sathish Vegesna for Sathamanam Bhavathi movie in 2016 got the Nandi awards for the Best Director category. The Nandi Film Awards Committees were headed by Giri Babu for 2014, Jeevitha Rajasekhar for 2015 and Pokuri Babu Rao for 2016. The juries submitted the list of Nandi Award winners to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Secretariat in Velagapudi on Tuesday. Later, the awards were announced at a press conference. MP Murali Mohan announced that the Nandi Awards for the ﬁve years from 2012 to 2016 would be given to the winners between January 25 to 31, 2018. However, he said that these were tentative dates. The awards ceremony will take place at Pavitra Sangamam at Ibrahimpatnam near Vijayawada for two days. Bengal wins Rosogolla ﬁght with Odisha New Delhi: Ending controversy over the origin of the iconic sweet, West Bengal won the Geographical Indication for Rosogolla. This marked years of bitter tug of war between West Bengal and Odisha over the origin of the syrupy sweet. After media reports of Odisha’s claim to be the birth place of Rosogolla and following initiative to get a GI tag on the sweet, the Bengal government and sweet makers presented documents to prove them wrong. “We are all so happy.
